Married!

"In my high school yearbook I had a heart around his picture," Annie confessed to me the other day, "and now he's my husband."

This wedding made my heart melt. The amount of love and smiles shared between Jimmy and Annie was contagious. The only moments Annie didn't have a huge grin on her face was when she was holding back tears of joy.

Both Annie and Jimmy  had children from previous marriages and made both children a huge part of their day. The children gave their parents away, Annie's daughter Reese danced the first dance with Jimmy, while Jimmy's son Tyler danced with Annie. I think Annie said it best about how she and Jimmy feel about each other:

"I am grateful for him in so many ways. He is an amazing father to our kids and has always told me how much I mean to him. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't receive a text message or a picture of the two of us followed by an 'I Love You Ann!!' At moments I look at him when we are somewhere and he's not near me I watch him, watch him smile, watch him laugh, and I always fall in love all over again."

Engaged!

Another set of college love birds on the blog today! Pat and Katie met at Stonehill College. The two became friends during their sophomore year, and started dating in their junior year. After college Katie moved back to NY and got a job in the city and Pat moved back to Westwood and got a job in Boston. After two years of being very loyal customers to Amtrak and the Bolt Bus, Katie got a great job opportunity in marketing and moved into an apartment with Pat in South Boston.

"We try to go out to dinner just the two of us at least once a week to spend time together, but our random nights that I enjoy most are when we go on walks together down to the beach or to Castle Island. It is a great way to unwind after work and to just chat about life. On the weekends when we have more time, we like to go on drives to random new places we have never been. Its a fun little weekend adventure and we always have a great time. It was one of those times that Pat proposed."

The specific adventure mentioned was to Gloucester, MA. the weekend after Hurricane Sandy. They had gone once before but now all of the spots they had liked were covered in debris after the storm and it was freezing out. After many attempts to remove Katie from the warm car, Pat finally convinced her to come outside and look around. " I kept trying to run back to the car, before he finally said "Will you just please let me ask you something?!" and before I knew it, he was down on one knee. As he was asking me to marry him, he told me he loved all of the adventures we have had so far, and wanted to keep having adventures with me the rest of his life. I still get teary when I think about that night."

Hope you enjoy the highlights from the beautiful day I got to spend with these two a few weeks ago, can't wait to shoot their wedding next September!
