Five years ago Steve walked into the bar where Meg was helping her mother host a PBA dinner. He liked her immediately, but they didn't stay in touch. It wasn't until Meg's father passed away two years later that he reached out to her to offer his condolences. After talking for a while he asked her if she ever went out in the city, and she mentioned she was headed there that very Saturday for a birthday party. He asked her to contact him after because he would also be in the city for an engagement party. They made tentative plans to meet up after the two separate parties but the events ended up both being at the same NYC bar. Convenience? Fate?
